Our history
The company was founded in Milan in 1958 as a tooling business for the manufacture of moulds and dies. Here are the milestones of its evolution:
Certification in conformity with standard UNI ISO EN 9001:2000 awarded to the mould and die manufacturing and design unit
Measures implemented to adapt the thermoplastic moulding unit at Assago to meet standard UNI ISO EN 9001:2000
The Gruppo Vignati Srl group is founded and certified in conformity with standard UNI EN ISO 9001:2000, with all units consequently brought up to date with group processes.
Group warehouse created for all units. Thermoplastic moulding units accredited to standard ANSI UL 746 D V0 (File n°E253706). Enlargement of the department devoted to moulding of medical items, update of the clean-room according to the standard EN ISO 14644-1 class 8 (1:100.000)

Obtaining ISO TS 16949:2009 Certification for the Tunisian site and development for the Italian units
Development of the Tunisian production site and creation of an assembly and test department for the electric unit

Beginning of varnished aesthetical parts for automotive industry
Opening of a new production plant in Romania, Vgnro srl
New warehouse in Assago via Idiomi
New electric moulding machines in the Assago plant
The Vignati group is now certified with iATF 16949:2016
Industry 4.0 system has been implemented for the Italian production unit of Assago site
Certification in conformity with standard UNI ISO EN 9001:2000 awarded to the die casting unit
A department is set up devoted to moulding of medical items (cleanroom class 1:10.000)
Sales, technical and tooling department moved to new Assago facility, with operating capacity increased.
Die casting unit moved to Opera and production capacity increased. (Quality Manual simultaneously drawn up and quality activities formalized)
D.N.V. Italia s.r.l. certification according to standard UNI EN ISO 9002 for moulding of technical and other items at the Assago facility.
Metalgroup srl – DIE CASTING UNIT awarded the Centro Italiano Promozione Zinco (Italian zinc promotion centre) “Zinc alloy casting” competition prize for its French windows lock gear part.
Metalgroup srl – DIE CASTING UNIT awarded the Centro Italiano Promozione Zinco (Italian zinc promotion centre) “Zinc alloy casting” competition prize for its hydrowasher motor mount.
Quality Function is set up and the Quality Manual drawn up.
Vignati srl awarded the GEP “Rifletto e … cambio” (“Think and… change”) competition prize for its Electric motor mount made in PBT instead of aluminium
Private limited company Metalgroup srl is founded
Private limited company Plastigroup srl is founded
Moves to its current Assago facility, extending its fleet of machines and creating the second department.
